Tippecanoe presbyterian church Arts & science literacy camp promo video #1 - videographer/editor - august 2016
I shot and edited this promotional video for the Tippecanoe Presbyterian Church's Arts & Science Literacy Camp this past summer.
This video is intended to help the camp find potential donors and contributors for next summer, as well as a possible wrap-around camp throughout the school year. Not only was I able to capture these wonderful students, learning in this great program, but I was also one of the assistant teachers of the program as well.
The camp is an important program for inner city children to increase their literacy skills through learning about different nature themes each week, while also taking advantage of some of the amazing artists and specialists in the area that teach our students their craft(s). I intend to make more promo videos for this camp throughout the year, since it holds a special place in my heart and is valuable to the community of Milwaukee in so many helpful ways.

The Halo Project Documentary - Producer, Assistant Editor and Camera Operator - May 2012
I was the production manager for this documentary commissioned for Marquette University's Theology department and Theo. 2400 class. The class and documentary revolve around the experiences of the around 30 students that were split up into teams of two and dispersed to over 20 different religious communities and faith congregations around Milwaukee. These students' goals were to not only spend time interacting with the leader and members of each congregation to learn how their faith community worships, but also to interview and discuss how each congregation is reaching out and working to combat social justice and welfare issues in the Milwaukee community.
I coordinated our shooting schedule with each faith community, discussed the vision of the documentary with the creators of the class (Dr. Mountin and Dr. Lephardt), operated the camera on several shoots and interviews, and assisted in editing the documentary.
Limited DVD prints available for faculty and staff use.

Hatch! Freshman Orientation Scavenger Hunt Instructional Video - Producer/Editor - December 2011
I produced, shot, and edited this video for what will hopefully be the new and improved, updated process for the annual scavenger hunt the incoming College of Communication freshman will do upon their arrival at Marquette University. Its technologically updated process will incorporate students using Ipads and QR codes to complete the scavenger hunt that spans and introduces the new students to all of Marquette's campus and student resources.
Diamonique - "Can't Stand a Hater" Music Video - Production Assistant - October 2011
I was the lone production assistant on set all day, which meant I was running around like a chicken with my head cut off! Lots of fun, however, on the set of the first professional music video I have ever worked on -- plenty more to come, I hope!

Haven's Point - Make-Up Model and Production Assistant - September - October 2011

The make-up tested on me was for one of the story's character's Halloween costume, as well as make-up for one of the character's who had a burned/charred face. I helped on set of their final scenes of shooting for traffic control, as well as the other typical production assistant duties of running errands, set decorating, and cast coordinating.

Sodexo Anytime Meal Plan Video - Writer, Director, Editor - August 2011
I was hired to make a video for the national food services company on Marquette University's campus, Sodexo, Inc. I had a lot of fun creating this video with my friend, the host of the video, Joe Gianni. We were able to be both creative and flex our professional video-making skills on this shoot. I worked with our supervisor, Krista Burns, to create this video that explains Sodexo's new meal plan for the 2011 school year, while keeping our demographic's enthralled. This video can be found on their website and YouTube page, as well as possibly being played on televisions across Marquette's campus.

MU Theatre Dept.: "The Laramie Project" Documentary - Videographer, Production Assistant - May 2011
I was a part of a team of other broadcasting students who produced a documentary on the events surrounding Marquette University Theatre Department's production of the controversial play, "The Laramie Project." The play chronicles the torture and death of Matthew Shepard, a young homosexual man, and how his passing and the media affected the town of Laramie, Wyoming, as well as the lives of citizens across America. The documentary provides interviews with the cast, crew, directors, and various Marquette University professors and Jesuits on the importance of the play's production on a campus transforming its views on issues regarding sexuality, diversity, acceptance, and unity while espousing Catholic and Jesuit traditions.

Funny Girl Remake - Videographer/Co-Editor - November 2010
I captured and co-edited this video, with my friend, Sarah Gizzi, for a project for our American History of the Musical class at Marquette University. We had to pick a musical and modernize it, so we decided to make an updated version of what would be a movie trailer for the musical, Funny Girl.
We also decided to make some cameo appearances in it ourselves, too!

Poem Interpretation: "The Road Not Taken" - Director, Editor - October 2010
The assignment was to take a poem and interpret it visually. We didn't want to show which choice was the "right" choice to make, because that is completely up to the person/people and circumstances, we wanted to show the many different situations within someone's life that can ultimately sway you one way or the other when making a crucial life decision.
Also, we wanted to explore some artistic and editing options while creating this video. I made this with Gretchen Clarke in 2010.

I directed this modernized take on the 1968 movie, Funny Girl, with my classmates (Sarah Gizzi and Amy Wilke) for our American History of the Musical class in fall of 2010. Here, Sarah Gizzi was the editor (and guest star), I directed and shot it, and Amy Wilke starred as Fanny Brice. Funny little video we got to make for class!
Cagli, Italy Study Abroad Program: "From the Grape to Your Glass" - Director, Editor, Webpage Creator - June 2010
As a part of the Cagli, Italy Study Abroad Digital Storytelling program, I had to create a video to be placed on my personal webpage. The webpage had to include an article, a video, and photo story. We worked in teams. My webpage focused on the Guerrieri Vineyard we visited in Fano, Italy. I was in Italy from late May until late June (exactly a month). While there, we were trained by a staff of professors in photography, Italian, cultural communication, and digital storytelling. We used the Adobe programs DreamWeaver, Bridge, and Photoshop and edited our footage using Final Cut Pro 7.

Headlights, "School Boys" Student Project Music Video - Director, Editor - April 2010
I created this video for one of my broadcasting classes. This is where I discovered my passion for creating music videos -- I have always been a huge music video fan (it's a forgotten art form), but I didn't know I would enjoy creating one. Although I haven't created another one since, I write down treatments for songs all of the time. I hope to work on or produce more in the near future.
I Hate Salmon, But I Love You - Cinematographer, Production Manager - March 2010
